Application Instructions

  • Apply basecoat per manufacturer’s instructions.

  • Tightly close all containers after use.
  • Clean equipment immediately after spraying.

Surface Prep Guidelines

  • Let basecoat dry at least 15 minutes before applying clear.
  • Extend flash time if under 70°F.
  • Use a clean tack cloth before clearing.

Recoat Instructions

  • If over 24 hours, scuff with 1000-grit sandpaper.
  • For sand-through areas, apply heat before recoating.

  3. I really like this clear. It sprays nicely in my LVLP gun. The paint was very hard within a day.

    You folks have told me the other clears are better….If so, they must be awesome. I sprayed just 2 coats over my test panel, just enough to get the feel of it. It leveled out just fine with a little bit of texture (could be from my technique, gun setup or the panel prep…not sure). This will easily sand out and buff although I haven’t tried it yet.

  5. Clear seems like its only good for small projects. Seems like the clear was too thin. Only issue I had with the paint aspect was the clear coat.

What size tip to spray clear coat?
This will depend upon the clear you're using. Most high solids clears, you'll want a 1.4. Medium solids you can use a 1.2 or 1.3. With our high solids clears you can use a 1.2, 1.3 or 1.4 without any issues.
