This water-clear clear coat includes built-in UV stabilizers and utilizes a variable-speed catalyst system for consistent performance in a wide range of temperatures. Whether you’re working in 65°F or 100°F+ heat, Southern Clear Coat has a hardener option tailored to your environment.

Note: Ensure the product is at room temperature (72°F) before mixing.

Application Instructions
- Apply base coat per manufacturer’s recommendations.
- Spray two wet coats of SC-01, allowing 5 minutes flash time between coats.
- Ensure each coat flashes properly to avoid solvent pop.
Surface Preparation
- Apply basecoat as directed and allow at least 15 minutes dry time per coat.
- In cooler temperatures (below 70°F), extend dry time between coats.
- Thoroughly tack the surface with a clean tack cloth before applying SC-01.
Dry Times
- Air Dry @ 70°F: Dust Free in 4–6 minutes, Ready to Deliver in 6–8 hours
- Force Dry: 10 min purge, then 15 minutes @ 140°F metal temperature

Pro Tips
- SC-01 can be reduced up to 5% using our urethane reducer.
- Reducing the product lowers film build and may increase VOC levels.
- For optimal UV resistance, apply a minimum of 2 mils dry film thickness.
