FAQs

FAQs

Can I get express or overnight shipping on paint?

Unfortunately, no—express or overnight shipping isn’t available for paint. Federal Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations classify paint as hazardous materials (haz-mat) under Hazard Class 3 (flammable liquids). These classifications mandate that such products can only be shipped via ground transportation—not by air ICC Compliance Center Inc - USArila.org.

The rationale is simple: shipping flammable liquids such as paint via air carries elevated safety and regulatory risks—including fire hazards and complex emergency response needs. Ground transport minimizes these risks and remains the only compliant mode under DOT regulations FMCSArila.org.

For more details, feel free to check out this source: Understanding Why Paint is Classified as Hazardous Material and Restricted to Ground Shipping
