This professional-grade basecoat system gives you both the ground coat and pearl coat, designed to deliver authentic, color-accurate results. Just add Reducer and your favorite 2K clear coat. This is not recommended for repairs that require a color blend.
Unlike competitor 2:1 mix ratio systems, both the ground and pearl coats in our kit reduce at a 1:1 ratio — giving you superior coverage, better color consistency, and a smoother application process.
Application
- Always spray test panels before starting your project.
- Prep surface as you would any paint job: sand, prime, and clean thoroughly.
- Mix ground coat 1:1 with Reducer and stir well.
- Apply 2–3 coats of ground coat, waiting 5–10 minutes between coats. Allow 20 minutes before applying pearl coat.
- Mix pearl coat 1:1 with Reducer and stir well.
- Apply 2–4 coats of pearl coat for desired effect, allowing 5–10 minutes between coats. Wait 20 minutes before applying 2K clearcoat.
- Finish with Wetness 2145 High Solids Clear Coat for maximum depth and gloss.
